Theaters & Cinemas
A-1 keeps poppers, fountains, ice machines, and lobby HVAC running for Milwaukee area theaters before the next showing.
The A-1 difference
A-1 was keeping southeastern Wisconsin restaurants cooking long before most of the kitchens we service opened their doors. Technicians who live here, parts riding on the truck and a 90-day A-1 guarantee on parts and labor mean the fix holds; if it doesn’t, we’re back.
Schedule Repair
A nearby technician diagnoses and repairs the failed unit in your kitchen with common parts carried on the truck.
We coordinate equipment changes around service hours and complete the electrical connections for the new unit.
Regular checks prepare heating systems for winter and cold equipment for summer demand.
The same crew handles the building air systems that support a working cook line.
Our electrical team traces faults beyond the equipment so recurring breaker trips get a lasting fix.
Milwaukee area technicians arrive on GPS dispatched trucks with common parts. A-1 guarantees parts and labor for 90 days.
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
A Friday or holiday breakdown costs far more than the repair itself: covers you can’t seat, overtime rates and product warming in the walk in. An A-1 program moves those checks onto a date you pick, worked around your service hours.
A fall visit before heating season, covering rooftop heat, make up air and outdoor refrigeration controls
A spring visit before summer, cleaning condenser coils and checking cooling and ice production
Fryer, oven and refrigeration checks timed before Lent and the Friday fish fry rush

INDUSTRIES
A-1 Services Group services restaurant kitchens across southeastern Wisconsin: Oak Creek, Milwaukee, West Allis, Brookfield, New Berlin and Waukesha, south to Racine, Kenosha and Lake Geneva, and out to Janesville, Sheboygan and Fond du Lac.
PROVEN TRACK RECORD
A-1 Services Group, based in Oak Creek, has repaired restaurant equipment across southeastern Wisconsin for more than 20 years. Its technicians service cooking equipment, refrigeration and ice machines, plus the rooftop HVAC and electrical connections restaurants depend on.
That covers neighborhood taverns and supper clubs, family restaurants, quick service and franchise kitchens, from Milwaukee and Waukesha to Racine and Kenosha.
Call 414-404-9739 rather than using the form when equipment fails mid service. A-1 technicians are based around the region, and calls that stop service or put food safety at risk, such as a dead fryer, a warm walk in or a gas smell, are prioritized.
Tell dispatch your town, what’s down and when your rush starts. That’s what decides how the day gets routed.
Yes, and few contractors can. A-1 repairs cooking equipment, refrigeration and ice, and also services rooftop HVAC, kitchen exhaust, make up air and commercial electrical.
That matters because these faults cross trades constantly. A pilot dying in January usually traces to make up air, a cooler losing ground in August usually traces to the rooftop, and a fryer popping a breaker usually traces to the circuit.
Heating and make up air first, then outdoor refrigeration. When a make up air heater fails, frigid air pours across the line, pilots blow out and pipes near the hood can freeze. Rooftop condensers without working low ambient controls struggle to run at all.
Summer flips it: fryers, ice machines and walk ins run flat out in the heat. A fall visit and a spring visit catch most of both.
Book a fryer and cooking line check in January, before Ash Wednesday. Have burners and elements tested, thermostats calibrated, filtration serviced and fry baskets and dump stations inspected, because Friday nights through Lent are the heaviest fryer load of the year in Wisconsin.
Check the hood and make up air at the same visit. Cold February air and an underperforming make up air unit will blow out pilots in the middle of a fish fry.
Fix it when the unit is solid and the failure is a thermostat, gasket, fan or valve. Start pricing replacement when a major component goes on an older unit, when the same repairs keep returning, or when one repair gets close to half the cost of new.
Wisconsin businesses may qualify for Focus on Energy incentives on qualifying efficient equipment, and A-1 can handle whatever electrical upgrade a new unit needs.
Most equipment related violations come down to temperature: cold holding above 41°F or hot holding below 135°F. Both drift slowly, so they’re easy to miss.
Log temperatures daily and have thermostats and refrigeration controls calibrated during maintenance visits. Every A-1 visit is documented, which gives your inspector a clear record.
Yes. Several locations can share one account, one phone number, one maintenance calendar and one service history, whether that’s two taverns in different suburbs or a franchise group spanning southeastern Wisconsin.
Operating outside the region too? A-1 belongs to Tech24’s national network, so service elsewhere can be arranged without adding another vendor for you to manage.
Work outside normal hours can carry overtime rates, and you sign off on overtime before anything is scheduled, so the invoice holds no surprises.
Those are precisely the hours a Wisconsin restaurant can least afford to go dark, which is the case for a maintenance plan. If a repair can hold until the next business day, that choice usually sidesteps overtime entirely.
Sometimes, depending on the manufacturer. Warranty terms and who may perform covered work vary by brand, so tell us the make, model and purchase date when you call and we’ll tell you how that unit’s warranty work is handled before anyone is dispatched.
If A-1 installed the equipment, we already have those details on file.
