TECH24 UNIVERSITY
The Gold Standard for Industry Training
A-1 Services Group technicians in southeastern Wisconsin train through Tech24 University, and that matters most when the problem isn’t where it first appears. A kitchen that runs hot, a cooler that can’t keep up and a breaker that keeps tripping can all trace back to the same cause, and a technician trained across equipment, refrigeration and electrical systems can find it on the first visit.
Tech24 created its University to move beyond ride and learn, where a new technician’s skills depended on whoever they happened to ride with. Every A-1 technician now follows a structured path from a first service call to complex diagnostics, so the quality of the work doesn’t depend on who answers your call.
Proprietary Curriculum
A curriculum grounded in CFESA principles and more than four decades of Tech24 field experience, spanning electrical controls, gas burners, steam systems and refrigeration circuits.
Professional Trainers
Dedicated full time trainers, in person and online, teaching small classes of up to 12 technicians with hands on time on real equipment.
In-field Support
When a technician in a Milwaukee kitchen or on a snowy rooftop meets a fault they haven’t seen before, a senior specialist can look at the equipment over a live video call and talk them through the fix on the spot.
EXPERTS IN OUR FIELD
Commitment to Training
A-1 Services Group began in heating and air conditioning, and its technicians now carry that background into commercial kitchens. Tech24 University builds on it: the curriculum follows the principles of the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association, so technicians who already know airflow, combustion and controls learn how those systems behave inside cooking, refrigeration and ice equipment.
Tech24 employs full time instructors rather than pulling busy technicians off calls to teach. Courses run in classrooms and online, which keeps Oak Creek technicians close to their Milwaukee area customers while they learn.
Learning doesn’t stop when a course ends. During a January no heat call or a July walk in failure, a specialist can confirm the diagnosis by video, so the business waiting on the repair gets it done in one trip more often.

Our Training Programs at A-1 Services Group
Instead of a local training center, A-1 technicians learn through Tech24 University’s network courses, taught by full time instructors in classrooms and online, and they keep learning on the job with specialist help by video. That keeps them close to customers across southeastern Wisconsin rather than away at a facility.
Want your own staff to get more from your equipment? During an installation or service visit, ask your A-1 technician to walk your team through daily care: cleaning condenser coils, checking walk in door gaskets, changing rooftop unit filters and spotting the warning signs worth a call.
